Biography and academic profile
Dr. Swarup Kumar Nayak, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor at the School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, with over 12 years of teaching and research experience. He specializes in alternative fuels, renewable energy, biomass conversion, gasification, and combustion studies. A Ph.D. holder from KIIT, he has published 46 journal articles, 10 conference papers, 3 review articles, and 1 book chapter, with over 1,284 citations and an H-index of 23 (as of 2024). His research includes biomass gasification, NOx mitigation, carbon capture, and combustion diagnostics. He has supervised six Ph.D. and two M.Tech. projects. Dr. Nayak is a Life Member of ISTE and Associate Member of IEI, actively contributing to sustainable energy innovation and improving engine performance through renewable and bio-based fuels.
